FlowCast help center

Guides to install FlowCast, find and show verses, listen to the sermon, and prepare slides for the service.

Get started with FlowCast

Download and install FlowCast, then learn the panels of the control window.

Find and show verses

Find verses in the Scriptures panel, then send them to the audience screen.

Use the schedule and the history

Keep the items for a service in a schedule, and find each passage that went live.

Listen to the sermon

FlowCast listens through the microphone and sends each verse that the preacher names to the screen.

Voice commands

The preacher can tell FlowCast to show the next verse, go back, or change the Bible version.

Detected passages

The Detected panel finds the verses that the preacher quotes or retells without a reference.

Make a theme

A theme sets the look of the verse slides: the background, the fonts, and the place of the verse and its reference.

Presentations and ProPresenter import

Design slides for announcements and sermon points, import ProPresenter 7 files, and share FlowCast bundles.

Show pictures and videos

The Media panel keeps the pictures and videos for the service and sends them to the screen.

Show the screen in a video call

Show the audience screen on a web page, then share that browser tab in Zoom or Google Meet.

Bible versions

FlowCast includes 30 English Bible versions, and you can download more from eBible.org.

Keyboard shortcuts

Control the audience screen, the search, and the schedule from the keyboard.

Update FlowCast

Look for a newer version of FlowCast and install it from the app.

Fluid Intelligence

An optional model that cleans each line of the transcript. Altic licenses it for personal, non-commercial use only.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers for the people who run FlowCast during the service.

Does FlowCast need the internet during the service?

No. The Bible versions, the speech recognition, and the verse search are on the computer. The first time you click Listen, FlowCast downloads the speech model. Do this one time before your first service.

Which computers can listen to the sermon?

A Mac with Apple silicon and a Windows PC. On a Mac, the speech model runs on the Neural Engine. On Windows, it runs on the CPU and uses more of it.

Can I stop verses from going live on their own?

Yes. Turn off Auto go live in the top bar. Each verse the preacher names then waits in the preview until you send it live. Detected passages go live only when you send them.

Which Bible versions are included?

30 English versions, such as the KJV, NIV (1984), NKJV, ESV, NLT, and AMPC. You can download more English versions from eBible.org in Settings. Most versions are under copyright, so get permission from each publisher.

Can I use my ProPresenter slides?

Yes, from ProPresenter 7. Import .pro or .probundle files in the Presentations panel. Scripture slides become themes, and the other slides of each file become a presentation. ProPresenter 6 files do not import.

Can I show verses in Zoom or Google Meet?

Yes. Turn on Web page in Settings. FlowCast then shows the audience screen in a browser tab, and you share that tab in the call.

Does FlowCast send data anywhere?

Yes. By default, FlowCast collects usage data, such as the transcript and the audio of each listening, and uploads it to the FlowCast team. Turn off the collection in File › Collect Usage Data, or the upload in Settings › Usage data.

Keep FlowCast up to date

The changelog lists what is new and what is corrected in each version. The release page has the newest version for Mac and Windows.
